Business analyst intern

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business/IT Analyst Intern to join our team. This internship offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in business analysis and IT task management. You will work closely with our IT and business teams to support tasks that improve our systems, processes, and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with analyst to understand and document business requirements for tasks.

Identify opportunities to improve business processes and workflows through the use of technology.

Assist in testing and validating new systems or enhancements to ensure they meet business needs.

Create and maintain documentation for business processes, system requirements.

Communication: Liaise between business units and IT teams to ensure alignment and effective communication.

Qualifications:

Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and analyse significant amounts of data.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiar with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI) and tools for creating mockups (e.g., Visio, FigJam, Balsamiq).

Basic understanding of IT systems and software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Eagerness to learn and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with business analysis methodologies (e.g., SWOT analysis, business process modeling).

Familiarity with task management (e.g., Jira, Trello) and process-modeling/creating-wireframes (e.g., Visio, FigJam, Balsamiq) tools .

Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., C#, Python) is a plus.
