Completion Engineer

Location: Azerbaijan (Residential position)

Duration: 12-month renewable contracts

Start Date: Ideally within 1 month, but longer notice period's welcome

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field.

Experience and Technical Skills:

• A minimum of 15 years of experience in subsurface technical roles, including at least 7 years in completion engineering, sand control, and wellsite supervision of completion activities.
• At least 2 years of experience in completion design.
• Proficiency with Well view software and expertise in tubing movement calculations.
• In-depth understanding of subsurface completion equipment and wellhead systems.
• Strong knowledge of wireline and tubing conveyed perforating systems, including charge selection.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide completion engineering consultancy and studies for the company.
• Design well completions, including completion type selection, flow modelling, and tubular stress analysis, specifying equipment to meet objectives.
• Develop completion sections for Basis of Design and key planning documents, including completion programs.
• Design and oversee the installation of sand control systems, such as screen and gravel selection.
• Collaborate with the company's team to evaluate completion objectives, feasibility, and optimize production.
• Ensure technical integrity across all completion studies and plans.
• Contribute completion-related input to integrated well design processes.
• Conduct well integrity reviews and participate in well intervention studies within the context of production enhancement projects.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with well planning and construction.
• Provide technical and operational support for specific well completion challenges as needed.
• Familiarity with industry-standard software packages is required.
