Skills and attributes for success
Teamwork, integrity, and leadership are essential qualities for this role. You should possess strong analytical, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, along with project management abilities. A strong work ethic, forward-thinking mindset, and self-starting attitude are crucial. You should be creative, proactive, a team player, and able to work under pressure. Advanced knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel is required, as well as excellent written and verbal proficiency in English, Azerbaijani, and Russian.
To qualify for this role, you must have: - Education: MSc in Earth sciences (geophysics, geology, exploration, etc.) OR MSc in a technical area (applied math, physics, engineering, logistics).- At least 4 years of industry experience in the relevant fields, with participation in transformation projects being a strong plus.
- An understanding of industry concepts (value chain, business segments) is essential.
- Basic understanding of economics, including P&L and NPV.
- Critical thinking and the ability to work in a multitasking environment.
- Leadership skills and the ability to work independently. Ideally, you’ll also have: - The readiness to work under tight deadlines.
- Certifications (any, from IELTS to PMP).
- Skills in Python and Macros.
- Onsite work experience in any heavy industry.
